The 2013 ECSL CHAMPIONS are the STING. They defeated
the Heat Saturday Night 4-1 and 6-5 Sunday Night to win
"The Warwick Griffith Trophy."

Saturday Night the Rebels hosted a depleted N'Stars outfit.

Sunday night a depleated Sting travelled up the F3 to take
on the North Stars, the Sting walked away with the points
defeating the N'Stars 6-4.

Rebels defeated the Raptors 4-3 on Sunday night, the
Rebels came back from a 2-0 defecit to win 4-3, Rebels #25
Casey Kubara scored the game winner with 4:21 remaining
in the game.

Saturday Night the Heat defeated the struggling Vipers 12-1,
outshooting them 48-18. It was Heat #12 Warren
Jaywardene who topped the tally with 1G 6A.

Saturday night the Raptors defeated the North Stars 5-3,
Raptors Captain Paul Bond bagged a 'Hatty' (3G 1A) in the
defeat.

The Rebels & Heat matched up evenly the whole game,
same number of players, shots, penatlies and goals, the
game finished up 4-4 with 2:50 remaining in the third when
the Rebels tied it up.

Sunday Night in Newcastle the North Stars scored 3 in the
3rd term to defeat the Heat 7-5. Assistant Captain Luke
Dore scored 3 goals in the win.

Saturday Night the Sting defeated an understrength Rebels
side, the Sting commanded the game right from the drop of
the puck. #29 Martin Snajdr lead the Sting with 2G, 1A.

N'Stars out shot the Vipers 23 to 14.

The Rebels & Raptors were both missing a number of players
at the World Inline Championships in California, in a end to
end game the Rebels prevailed.

Saturday night at Canterbury, the Sting punished the
Raptors on the scoreboard and in the shot count. The Sting
outshot the Raptors 56 to 33. Sting Murgas completed the
game with 3 goals & 2 assists.

Saturday Night a small Raptors outfit flexed there muscles
over a full strength Vipers outfit sending them packing. The
Team was led by ECSL Rookie #8 Josh Cassar with 3 goals
& 2 assists.

The Rebels and Vipers met for the second time this season,
the Rebels were led by #4 Cameron Todd who scored 4
goals of the 10 goals.

Sting v Heat 4-4
The Sting & Heat went toe-to-toe on Sunday Night. It was
3-3 with 1 minute remaining, 0.23 Sting Jaroslav Murgas
scored the go-ahead goal only to be denied 7 seconds later
by Heat #21 Adam Kimbley with 0.16 remaining on the
clock.

The Raptors defeated the North Stars on Saturday night.
North Stars were down 4-1 going into the third before
Michael Slee and Kevin Boyd teamed up twice in a bid to
bring the N'Stars back however the Raptors were able to
close out the game 6-4.

The Heat prevailed but thanks to solid goaltending from Alan

the Raptors were shut down by solid goaltending from
Rebels Rookie Rhett Kelly.

Vipers back down the F3 evening up the series one game a

The Sting have also started their 2013 season with
a win. Defeating the Heat 6-3 in Penrith. Robert
Soliman proving the difference in his ECSL debut.
Both goaltenders faced 31 shots, with Soliman
conceding 3.

Saturday night saw the 2013 ECSL Season commence with
the defending champs hosting the Vipers. Final Score saw
the North Stars defeat the Vipers 5-0, earning Josh
Broekman the shutout.

2013 will see some major changes to the ECSL with the
possible inclusion of another Sydney based team along with
the age limit lifted.
