The North Stars have taken a 1-0 lead in the best of three games Grand Final Series tonight in Newcastle with a 6-5 win.

The Rebels firmly cemented there spot in next weekends ECSL Grand Final vs the Northstars after shutting out the Raptors 9-0 to win 14-2 on aggregate.

Northstars 6 Sting 2
The Northstars defeated the Sting 6-2 tonight at Penrith to book a spot in the Grand Final, 7-4 on aggregate.

Rebels 5 Raptors 2
The Rebels have defeated the Raptors 5-2 in the best of 2 Semi Finals. Game 2 is Sunday 16.9.12 @ Penrith 9pm directly after the Sting vs N'Stars Game 2.

2012 ECSL Minor Premiers
Congratulations goes to the Reach Rebels 2011 Champions and 2012 Minor Premiers. The Rebels will face the Raptors in Semi Finals, the same opponent they defeated in last years grand final. This should make for a great semi final series.

Sting punish Heat 9-1
Sting #9 Scott Connelly helped his team with 5 points defeating the Heat 9-1 on Saturday Night. The Heat were punished by the Referee's with 73 pims to 0, which meant the Sting were able to capitalise on the scoreboard.

NSW Tange Team Sweep the Ice for GOLD.
The Tange Team Swept the competition at the 2012 Tange Trophy for the first time in 6 years defeating WA 6-1 in the Final to win GOLD.

NSW 18-under State Team
This week the NSW Tange Team has been competing in the 2012 National Championships in Adelaide. 15 of the 20 players in this team has played in the 2012 ECSL Season. The future of the ECSL looks to be bright.

Heat def Vipers 5-4
Heat #94 Brandon Stobbs stole the win with 1:04 remaining in the game off a backdoor pass from Shane Barrow & Saxon Air.

Rebels punish Northstars 10-2
Both teams were short, N'Stars has 12 & Rebels with 9 players it made for an interesting game. The Rebels got the jump early and it continued throughout the game, each Rebel earned a point including the Goalie.

Sting & Raptors 3-3 Tie
Saturday Night @ Penrith the Sting & Raptors finished up with a 3-all tie. The Raptors were denied the win when the sting scored with 1.13 remaining in the game.

North Stars 4 def Sting 3
The North Stars have defeated the Sting 4-3. The North Stars were all over the Sting in the first period, however the Sting rallied strongly to close the gap, and were a real threat to take the win in the final minutes.

Vipers def Raptors 6-3
Raptors #28 Cameron Rose assisted his team with 3 points on Sunday Night, however it wasn't enough as both Vipers #2 Rhys Outred & #11 Brett Cole-Clark also contributed 3 points each in their teams win at home.

Rebels upset Heat 5-4 with 24 seconds remaining.
The Heat & Rebels exchanged leads multiple times through out the game, however it was Rebels Rookie #14 Casey Kubara who sealed the game winner on the powerplay with 24 seconds remaining in the game.

Raptors & Sting 2 All Draw
In Sunday's 2nd game the Sting & Raptors finished up 2 a piece. Raptors #19 Jason Gibson & #10 Brian Funes connected twice in the 1st period to put the Raptors 2-0, however the Sting came back with 1 goal in the 2nd & 3rd to finish 2-2.

Rebels def Vipers 6-4
The Vipers started strong, out shooting, hitting & out playing the Rebels and the score reflected. Down 4-2 with 5.15 remaining in the game, the Rebels seem to flick a switch - scoring 4 goals in under 2 mins to win 6-4.

Heat def Northstars 4-2
The Heat & N'Stars were unfortunatly involved in a disrupted game, with 2 officials failing to turn up. 1 hour later and both teams took to the ice, with the Heat defeating the N'Stars 4- 2.

ECSL vs Kelowna
Monday Night a group of ECSL Players from each of the 4 Sydney Teams, played a visiting Canadian Team. The Final Score was 5-1 to the Canadians.

Vipers 7-1 Northstars
The Vipers punished the Northstars at home in Newcastle.

Raptors 4-3 Heat
The Raptors came back from being down 3-2 at the end of the second to defeating the Heat 4-3.

Sting 2-2 Rebels
The Sting & Rebels held each other to a 2-all draw, with both goalies making some key saves to keep their team in it.

Raptors 5-3 Northstars
Sunday night Raptors #12 Brenton Tripp helped the depleated Raptors defeat a full strength Northstars outfit. #12 Tripp scored a point for every goal.

Rebels 8-1 Vipers
Saturday's game was a team effort with every Rebel player notching up a point in the win. It also saw Steven Naidovski return to the ice from a broken hand earlier in the season.

Sting 4-3 Heat
The Sting scored 4 unanswered goals in their 4-3 win over the Heat. Assistant Captain #9 Scott Connelly scored the game winner with 1:11 remaining in the game on the powerplay.

Northstars def Sting 5-3
The Northstars #94 Tim Stanger helped his side defeat the Sting 5-3 on Saturday night, moving them into 2nd place above the Heat.

Rebels def Heat 7-1
The Rebels defeated the Heat Saturday night aided by Assistant Captain #9 Michael Casaceli's 5 point game.

Vipers def Raptors 3-1
The Vipers defeated the Raptors 3-1. There was no shortage of shots, a total of 66 shots in this game.

The North Stars and Raptors have had a 3 all draw in Newcastle.

The Vipers had the game in their grasps, however this wasn't meant to be with Sting forward #33 Jan Becjek scoring the game tieing goal with 7 seconds remaining in the game.

Sunday Night @ SIA, in a high scoring game, the Heat defeated the Vipers 8-4.

Sting goalie Tim Kane helped his team mates shutting down the Raptors for his 3rd shut out in 2012.

Rebels defeat Northstars 6-1.
On Saturday Night the Rebels defeated the Northstars 6-1, it was 2-1 after two periods - however the 3rd period saw the Rebels come out firing blasting 17 shots for 4 goals.

Raptors 2-1 over Rebels
In a close game, After the 1st the Rebels led 1-0, the Raptors equalised in the 2nd. Early in the 3rd the Raptors took the lead 2-1 & held on for the win. The Rebels outshot the Raptors 32-23 only to be denied by Raptors Tender Josh O'Neill.

Vipers 4-3 Sting
On Sunday Night the Vipers hosted the Sting. The Sting got their AIHL members back but were without regular goalie Tim Kane. Final Score 4-3 to the home team.

Heat PUNISH 9-Man Northstars 8-1
On Saturday Night the Northstars travelled down to Sydney severly under-manned. 8 Players plus a goalie made the 2 hour journey only to be outshot 44 to 21 and defeated 8-1.

Raptors defeat Northstars 6-3 in Newcastle.
The Northstars have been unlucky playing at home this season. On Sunday night the Raptors made the F3 journey and in a testosterone filled game they walked away with the 3 points. A total of 118 penalty mins was called, something that is of concern to all interested parties.

Heat Shutout Sting 3-0
Saturday Nights second game, the Heat & tender Alan Becken shutout the Sting.

Rebels defeat Vipers 9-3
Saturday night the Rebels played host to the Vipers. The Vipers won their previous two games and were determined to win 3 in a row. This wasn't to be, with the Rebels scoring 3 goals in each period to the Vipers 1. Slavio Boris (Rebels 1st Pick in the 2012 draft) finished the game with 5 goals.

Vipers def Raptors 5-1 @ SIA
Tonight the Vipers played their first game in their new home @ Sydney Ice Arena. The Vipers outshot the Raptors 23-9, rewarding them with a convincing win.

North Stars shut out Sting
Josh Broekman has registered his first shut out for the season. The North Stars defeating the Sting 2-0, at Canterbury.

Rebels overpower the Heat
The Rebels def Heat 4-2. The Heat started the game well taking a 1-0 lead at the end of the first period & 2-0 at the end of the 2nd. A short bench, and plenty of penalties caused issues for both teams. The Rebels cooling the Heat's fire with 4 goals in the 3rd to seal their 3rd win for 2012.

On Saturday Night at Canterbury, the ECSL President Mr Les Adams, presented Wulos aka Mark Bradford with a set of the Rebels Jerseys as a Thank You from the league for his dedication to the league & its players.

Heat 5 v Northstars 4
The Heat & Northstars both walked away with 2 of 4 points from the weekend. The Heat Going down Saturday night in Sydney to the Vipers & N'Stars defeating the Rebels. Both teams backed up Sunday with the Heat defeating the Northstars in their own barn 5-4.

Sting 3 v Raptors 0
In a penalty filled game, the Sting shut out the Raptors 3-0 at Penrith last night. The game was filled with penalties.

Northstars 4 v Rebels 3
The North Stars have defeated the Rebels 4-3 at Canterbury. The lead went back and forth throughout the game, with plenty of bone crunching hits however with 1:43 remaining the Northstars tied up the game on a powerplay, and sealed victory with 00:03 seconds left in the game.

Vipers 4 v Heat 3
The Vipers have defeated the Heat 4-3 at Canterbury of Saturday Night. The game was a close fought affair with the Vipers snatching victory with 1:02 remaining in the game.

The North Stars have defeated the Vipers 7-4 in Newcastle. At the end of the 1st, the North Stars lead 2-0, end of the 2nd, Vipers lead 4-2, before the North Stars fought back to win 7-4.

Raptors and Heat split the points.
Overnight the Raptors, and Heat had a hard fought 5-5 draw.

Sting 2 v Rebels 3
Yucca Reinecke scored with 3.15 left on the clock to secure the Rebels first win for 2012. The Rebels were 2-0 down at the end of the first period.

WELCOME
Welcome to the new online home for the East Coast Super League. The ECSL is a New South Wales based open men's full contact league, made up of six teams. Last year the teams played Games at Canterbury Olympic Ice rink, Hunter Ice Skating Stadium, and Penrith Ice Palace

2012 Entry Draft
The 2012 Entry draft was completed at the beginning of March. 22 players have been drafted directly onto team rosters, with a 6 drafted into the league as ECSL reserves.
